Privacy policy

Who we are

CheapSkiDays (cheapskidays.com) is a small independent website run by Lisa Geller in New Jersey, USA. It lists lift ticket deals at Northeast ski resorts and publishes budget skiing guides. Questions about this policy: cheapskidays@gmail.com.

The short version

• You can use the whole site without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click one, the partner site may set cookies so we can be credited for a booking or purchase.

Analytics and server logs

We do not currently run analytics or advertising tracking scripts on this site. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. See Vercel's privacy policy. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, not from third-party font services.

Our newsletter signup form and a small signup attribution script are loaded from beehiiv on every page. beehiiv may record which page and link led to a signup (for example the page address and campaign tags in the link) so we can see where subscribers come from. It does not show ads.

If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will name it on this page, describe what it collects, and update the date above.

Email signups

When you sign up for our free Thursday deals email, your email address is collected and the newsletter is sent through beehiiv, the email service we use. beehiiv stores your address on our behalf and handles delivery. See beehiiv's privacy policy.

We use your address only to send the CheapSkiDays newsletter. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email. We don't sell your email address, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Deal tips

Deal tip submissions are not sent to us yet. Right now, anything you type into the submit form is saved only in your own browser (local storage). You can clear it by clearing your browser's site data. To send us a tip today, email us.

If you email us directly, we use your message and address only to reply.

Affiliate links and cookies

CheapSkiDays is free and is supported by affiliate links. Our "Find lodging near" buttons go through Stay22, which sends you to booking sites such as Booking.com. In the future, our gear guide may also link to ski retailers through affiliate programs (for example AvantLink merchants or Amazon). When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network or retailer may place cookies or similar technologies in your browser to record that you came from CheapSkiDays. If you then book or buy, we may earn a commission. It does not change your price.

Those cookies are set and controlled by the partner sites under their own privacy policies, not ours. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our own pages do not set advertising cookies.

Affiliate relationships never affect which deals we list or how we rank them. Affiliate links on this site are marked with rel="sponsored".

Links to other sites

Most of our deal listings link to resort websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing cheapskidays@gmail.com.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
